Landscape lighting kits are installed by planning fixture placement, laying low-voltage cable, connecting fixtures securely, and setting up the transformer for safe operation. Proper spacing, cable routing, and system testing ensure consistent illumination and reliable outdoor lighting performance.

To wire multiple runs to one low voltage transformer, split fixtures into separate runs, keep each run within usable wattage, and connect them to the correct terminals or a rated hub using waterproof splices. Choose a layout and cable gauge that control voltage drop so brightness stays consistent across zones.

Install a low voltage transformer by mounting it near a GFCI outlet above ground, sizing it to your total lighting load, and connecting low-voltage cable to the correct terminals or voltage taps. Test brightness across the run before burying cable and adjust taps or connections to reduce voltage drop and flicker.
