When low voltage landscape lights are not working, the cause is usually a transformer or power issue, a wiring fault, or a single failed fixture. Identify whether all lights are out or just one, then check power, connections, and components in that order to isolate and fix the problem.

New low voltage landscape lights often stop working after a few days due to failing splices, water intrusion, or voltage drop from long runs, undersized wire, or overloaded circuits. Checking power and controls, locating the first dead point, and rebuilding waterproof connections typically resolves the issue and prevents repeat outages.

A low voltage transformer keeps tripping when the system is overloaded, wiring or connectors have a fault, or moisture creates a partial short that increases current draw. The fix is to calculate total wattage with headroom, isolate zones, and inspect cable runs and connections for damage or water intrusion.
